End of 2013 Tax Season Celebrations

Smith Schafer employees celebrated the end of the tax season April 15, 2013! Below is a picture of Smith Schafer's Rochester staff enjoying the musical talents of Thomas and the Rain at the party. Thank you to all of our clients and staff for another great tax season! We appreciate you all!

 

Twins Opening Day 2013 Celebration

The Twins opened the 2013 season April 1, 2013, in the friendly confines of Target Field for the first time ever! Smith Schafer and Associates, Ltd. celebrated with some traditional baseball eats; hot dogs, nachos, peanuts and cracker jacks! Staff wore their Twins gear and participated in Twins Trivia throughout the day.

United Way of Olmsted County Leader Award

Smith Schafer and Associates, Ltd. was recognized in February 2013 by the United Way of Olmsted County with the Leader Award. Smith Schafer employee giving was at least $200 per capita and had over 90 percent participation in the United Way campaign. Smith Schafer employee giving has increased by over 10 percent in the past year!

Smith Schafer is proud to support the United Way and other local events and charities in our communities.

End of 2012 Tax Season Celebrations

What did Smith Schafer do on April 17th? We celebrated the end of the tax season! Our Rochester office celebrated the end of tax season with a bash at Fagan Studios. Smith Schafer’s Twin Cities offices, Edina and Maplewood, enjoyed a fun evening at the House of Comedy at the Mall of America. Our Red Wing office celebrated the end of tax season at Liberty’s Restaurant and Lounge. Its been a busy few months, but we would not have it any other way. 3rd Annual Food Mania Event to Benefit Food Banks November 2010

Smith Schafer's Twin Cities offices located in Edina and Maplewood (Team Smith Schafer TC) have again accepted the challenge to compete in Second Harvest Heartland's Annual Food Mania event, a lively competition among local law firms and accounting firms to raise funds and food for Second Harvest Heartland food bank. Last year Team Smith Schafer brought in close to $3,000 in cash donations and several large boxes of food items, earning a second place per capita finish in the accounting firm division.

Not to be outdone, Smith Schafer Rochester will compete as well with a challenge to Team Smith Schafer TC to see who can raise the most contributions. Rochester's contributions will go to Channel One, a local food shelf and regional food bank located in Rochester. Both Second Harvest Heartland and Channel One are members of Feeding America, a leading nationwide network of food banks.

Edina Office Relocates October 2010

Our Edina office has relocated from the 5th floor of the Edina Realty Building to Suite 178 on the first floor. As you walk through the building entrance the new office is located to the right.

 

Twin Cities Offices Step Up to the Plate November 2009

Smith Schafer's Twin Cities offices in Edina and Maplewood accepted the challenge to compete in Second Harvest Heartland's 2nd Annual Food Mania event. The joint effort of their staff raised close to $3,000 and brought in several large boxes of food items. This gave them a second place per capita finish in the accounting firm division. Several challenges were raised within the two offices ending in a face-off between Steve Erchul and Dean Richards, principals in the Edina and Maplewood offices, respectively.

Food Mania is a lively competition among local law firms and accounting firms to raise funds and food for Second Harvest Heartland food bank.
